A storm from the depths of the Antarctic was dropping snow across large swathes of the Southern regions. You could hardly see a few metres in front of you as we looked out from the hut. As we got started on the Vanilla Cookies it seemed to have an almost shortbread like quality. Then the weather cleared and the colour of the cookies almost matched the colour of the landscape that stretched out in front of us
