Peanut Brownies

After a crystal clear morning and a fresh snowfall which was like riding on cotton wool we figured it was time for a break. With a cup of coffee ready we opened a pack of Peanut Brownies, a classic New Zealand cookie. As I opened the pack the delicious aroma of cocoa and peanuts wafted from the pack and as I raised the cookie to my mouth a cheeky Kea swooped by and nearly grabbed it from my grasp. One of the world’s most intelligent birds, the Kea, had reminded us that we need to get baking before anyone nabbed the idea of this great tasting Kea Cookie.
